Christopher Parker who plays Spencer Moon in Eastenders says - "There was
a time when I used to live in Essex with my Mum and Dad and I used to go to
London some evenings to do a drama class. I'd get back about half eleven
at night....and some guys followed me off the train.
They'd seen I was texting, and I came out of the station with my Walkman on.
It was dark and they followed me up the hill....and I ended up being mugged. It
was quite nasty! Probably, the best thing would be not to have had the Walkman
on in the first place because you're not aware of what's going on around you. But
having done that journey so many times before and being safe, for that to happen
shook me up quite a lot.
I wasn't bullied at school, but I had a friend who was. I think one of the most
important things is not to feel you've got to join in. It's very easy for me to sit here
and say that, but if you feel that you can't walk away or that you can't stand up for
the person who's being bullied, there's other things that you can do - maybe write
an anonymous letter to the teacher so that someone else is aware.

I understand it can be hard to stand up for someone who's being bullied, but don't
join in. Try and walk away if you can, but at the very least don't just let it happen."
