Milly's Fund in Partnership with Surrey Police and Air Products launched an
Art/Design Competition throughout the Surrey area, aimed at increasing personal
safety awareness amongst youngsters. The competition was open to all 11-21 year
olds attending Schools, Colleges and Universities in Surrey.
The purpose of this competition was to produce a series of 6 eye catching
postcards, to promote important personal safety messages. We plan to circulate
the winning postcard designs, carrying key personal safety messages on the
reverse, to teenagers and young people in Surrey via schools and cinemas.

We received some very exciting and innovative design entries of which the six
winners are shown. In total we plan to circulate over half a million postcards.

Sally Dowler said ' We have worked with teenagers to develop a list of safety tips
which they can relate to' This can only be a good thing as anything that raises
personal safety awareness is beneficial.'
